Valentine’s Day is, for many people, the most romantic day of the year. At school we enjoyed decorating our special Valentine Cards as we think Love is also sharing and being respectful with friends and family.

LOLLIPOP FLOWERS

We spent a really pleasant time making a  heart shaped candy flower. Join us and you 'll have an amusing  time !
Stuff we required

Card stock or construction paper.
Cardboard templates of hearts and leaves.
Green coated paper
Glue stick
Scissors
Lollipops
How did we make it step by step.

1st step. The children traced and cutted hearts and leaves following the templates outlines. From the red construction paper we got hearts larger than the lollipop candies.

2nd step. The kids folded the green paper in half and cutted out the leaves shapes, leaving the two sides attached at the seam.

3rd step. They unfolded the double leaf shape and coated the entire surface with glue. Then they folded it back over the lollipop stem, pressing to secure.
And there it is a lovely hearted shaped flower carrying a sweet surprise inside.

VALENTINE´S PUPPET STICK

Giving our child's imagination a boost with these cool easy to make ideas !

How  we did make it.
1st step. The  1st grade children cutted out the heart template with much care to get a beautiful light pink heart made of card stock.

2nd step. They decorated the shape starting from the outline - with a sharpened pencil or wax crayon -and  then adding some facial features- a smiley mouth and rosy cheeks.

3rd step. The kids glued the cheerful gloogly eyes as well as a risible nose. Now it looks really laughable.

4th step. We used a sticker to joint face and stick.

What we've needed.

A heart template.
Pink card stock
Scissors
Pencil
Wax crayons
Glue
Glue stick
Googly eyes
Coloured pom pom

Let's see the following pics of our so beloved children holding their creations.

HAPPY SAINT VALENTINE'S DAY !

MEANS OF TRANSPORT

Travelling towards peace. Get on our bus!! Join us in this awesome trip of happiness, enjoyment and friendship.

Peace Bus Doubledecker.
The kids of the first grade were making their  own personal bus to go around.
To start with the children filled in the buses with relatives, friends, pets and in some cases even with themselves.

After having nicely filled the bus with acquitances and mates ,they cutted out the outlines
and glued the windscreen , the wiper and the front lights.

Then  just time to wrap a milk carton in papercraft to stick the fabulous drawings on them in order to become 3D vehicles ready to play  and have an unforgetable time.
